About the Company
- INTERSIG sh.a started the activity on September 2001 as an Albanian owned entity.
Since August 2011, INTERSIG is part of Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) which owns the majority of INTERSIG shares, 75%.
Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) is one of the largest international insurance groups in Central & Eastern Europe.
In 2007, the Group entered the insurance markets in Albania.
VIG – Vienna Insurance Group is the largest insurance group in Albania with over 32.7% of overall insurance market in 2011.
The Group is active in 25 countries through 50 companies with 25,000 employees and a premium volume of € 8.6 billion.
From December 2011 the share capital of INTERSIG – Vienna Insurance Group was increased from EUR 2,898,550 to EUR 8,898,550 to strengthen the company.
