The Albanian office joined the Wolf Theiss network in January 2004, after 5 years of operation under the auspices of Allen & Overy. In February 2007, Wolf Theiss further expanded its position as one of Albania’s leading law firms by integrating the legal arm of Deloitte Albania. By expanding its Albanian office to its present level of 10 lawyers, Wolf Theiss is responding to the economic growth and increased international investor interest in the whole of South Eastern Europe.
The team specializes in all core areas of business law, particularly corporate law, banking and finance, and real property. The firm also has extensive experience in the areas of privatisation, public procurement and concessions.
Throughout its years with Allen & Overy and now with Wolf Theiss, the Tirana office and the team have focused on the international market and have rapidly developed into one of the leading firms for handling complex legal transactions for both corporate clients as well as NGOs and governmental entities in Albania. Today, Wolf Theiss is one of the only law firms in Albania that belongs to an established international practice.
The Tirana office of Wolf Theiss is led by Sokol Nako, a partner with extensive experience in South Eastern Europe (SEE), especially in Albania. He has been a member of the Albanian government for many years, inter alia as the Minister of Justice. In his private practice, Mr. Nako has advised leading Albanian companies.
Enyal Shuke is a further partner at our Tirana office. She has many years of experience in advising international investors in corporate and property projects including PPP. The Albanian practice of Wolf Theiss is further supported by Markus Heidinger, as Regional Managing Partner, and Christian Mikosch, a Vienna-based partner with many years of experience in M&A and infrastructure projects in South Eastern Europe, including in Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia.
