Kent R. Ford 

President-Emeritus and FIAA’s First President

Mr. Ford is one of the Founders of FIAA and acted as its first president. Mr. Ford has over twenty five of international development experience spanning nearly 60 countries. Mr. Ford was in-country investment advisor for the EBRD’s $14 million Albania Reconstruction Equity Fund and has traveled to Albania over 30 times. Prior to his work with Chemonics, he co-founded Global Development Solutions, LLC a consulting firm with offices in Reston, Virginia, USA and Tokyo, Japan. In post-war Kosovo, Mr. Ford was Trade and Investment Advisor for USAID’s Kosovo Business Support Project where he designed and executed economic development and competitiveness strategies which resulted in opening new markets and generating critically important jobs and millions of dollars in trade, investment and supply chain linkages for Kosovar businesses. Mr. Ford holds a Masters of Business Administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, USA.

    The Foreign Investors Association is the most important business association in Albania, operating mainly as a supporter and facilitator of foreign investors in the country. The organization operates through a membership scheme and offers various business services to foreign investors. FIAA represents the largest and most prominent businesses operating in various sectors of Albanian economy with the main aim to cooperate with the government and other institutions for a better investment climate and favorable socializing atmosphere in order to attract more foreign investors in Albania.
