FIAA highest Representatives were invited by the Swedish Ambassador to participate in two round table meetings organized under the care of the Embassy of Sweden aiming to gather information on the most pressing challenges on investing and doing business in Albania. The Swedish ambassador and other invited ambassadors gave focus on how these challenges could be tackled. One raising issue seen as highly important was the issue of energy Sector.
Also was given an overview of the challenges to improving financial stability in Albania, for the development of a market economy in line with European standards, and the key role of international actors and investors. In terms of investments, the discussion had a specific focus on the energy sector, including reforms undertaken to improve energy collection and increase the scope for investments and strategic energy planning. The meetings presented an opportunity to share concrete experiences and to identify concrete opportunities for foreign investments.
