On October 9th, 2012 FIAA through its representatives of the energy industry in Albania organized the first discussion and brainstorming meeting in order to identify the main concerning issues faced by this industry. This meeting objective was to bringing together the Energy Stakeholders and find the pathway to proper solutions.

The meeting had a wide participation of companies operating in energy sector and financial Institutions Representatives such as EBRD in Tirana, as well as Energy consultants. EBRD in Albania has been actively involved and supportive on energy projects in the country and has always been a valuable collaborator of FIAA to addressing issues faced by business community to the respective authorities. The main issues addressed in this meeting were:

FIAA, (Foreign Investors Association of Albania) would like to inform you on the success of the 3rd Edition of the Albanian Natural Resources ExpoConference, which was held on April 19th, 2012, in the Palace of Congresses, Tirana, Albania.

Part of the panel of the Opening Session of this important event were the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha, the Ambassador of Australia, Mrs. Jenny Bloomfield, The Deputy Minister of METE, Mr. Neritan Alibali and the FIAA Board of Directors presided from its President Mr. Patrick Pascal.

On 28 of February, 2012 at Sheraton Tirana was held the FIAA Assembly Meeting. The meeting was called for the fulfillment of the two vacancies raised in the Board of Directors and the approval of some proposed changes in the Association’s Bylaws.

At the opening of the meeting FIAA’s Executive Director Ms. Jazoj presented FIAA’s achievements and activities for year 2011 and future projects and targets ahead.  Proceeding, members discussed on some articles of the bylaws.

On 19 January 2012 at Sheraton Tirana was organized the traditional FIAA’s Wishes Ceremony, which was a success and a good opportunity to meet each other and start the new year in a friendly manner.

The FIAA’s President Mr. Patrick Pascal on behalf of the Board of Directors welcomed the Premier of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha, and the European Union Ambassador in Albania Mr. Ettore Sequi, Ambassadors and Diplomats in Albania, Ministers, Collaborators and Members.

05 October 2011, Sheraton Tirana, FIAA’s members, guests and colleagues celebrated its first Networking after the summer holidays.

The event gathered a significant number of investors in Albania, members and non members of FIAA. The Executive Director of FIAA, Ms. Jazoj greeted the participation and encouraged new businesses to join FIAA.

FIAA’ subcommittee of Mining, Oil and Gas has been very active on establishing and functioning of the National Network of the Extractive Industry in Albania.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy of Albania (METE) and special attention from the Premier of Albania, representatives of this industry will be part of the Working Group to follow up procedures of the membership of Albania in EITI network (Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative).

The Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment (AWEX) which is the Wallonia Region of Belgium’s Agency in charge of Export promotion, is cooperating more and more with Albania and with the contribution of FIAA in the context of Albania’s bright future within Europe and the European Integration prospects organized the seminar and B2B event, held from May 30 until June 01, 2011 at “Tirana International Hotel”.

The Foreign Investors Association of Albania (FIAA) and ELIDA Co’94 with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports and Ministry of Transports organized on April 14-16th, 2011 the second edition of the conference and exhibition focused on Tourism and Real Estate Development in Albania. 

Continuing the tradition of its networking activities, FIAA held at Rogner Europapark a meeting event with the Guest of Honor Mr. Ettore Sequi, Ambassador of the European Delegation in Albania.

FIAA’s President Mr. Pascal greeted with a short speech all the members and honored guests present in the event and afterwards the floor was given to Mr. Sequi for his greeting remarks.
