On October 15th, 2014, FIAA and KMPG Albania organized a specialized seminar on Transfer Pricing. The Seminar was attended by a high number of Professionals and Company Representatives.

Considering that the Transfer Pricing legislation is now on the Top of the Albanian Tax Authorities’ Agenda and a hot button issue for many companies, the seminar provided useful information on how to comply with the new transfer pricing rules.

The Event’s Moto: “In every difficulty lies opportunity”

On Wednesday, May 21st, 2014 at Sheraton Hotel Tirana, FIAA organized the “Speakers Forum” a new networking format.

The event aimed on bringing together Key Governmental Representatives and the Foreign Business Community. The key Speakers were the Minister of Innovation and Public Administration, Mrs. Milena HARITO and the Minister of Energy and Industry, Mr. Damian GJIKNURI. The Ministers were asked to speak on their main challenges while managing these two key Ministries.

On March 5th, 2014, at Sheraton Tirana Hotel it was held the FIAA Assembly Meeting for the election of 1 (one) new Board Member. During this meeting, members were presented with FIAA’s key achievements for 2013, the FIAA’s Financials and the plan of activities and initiatives for the coming months.

The results of the Counting process came out with a majority of votes for Mr.Dietlof Ziegfried MARE – CEO of Vodafone Albania.

On January 29th, 2014 in the premises of Rogner Hotel Europapark FIAA organized the yearly traditional ceremony “Wishes for a Successful Business Year 2014”. 

This event has become a tradition for FIAA at this time of the year, considered as the right moment to good wish each other and take wishes of the Albanian Government. The Event was attended by the highest representative of the Albanian Government, the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama.

On January 20th, 2014 FIAA organized the Economic Forum on the Issues and Challenges that Foreign Investors are facing in Albania. 

The Forum was organized with two separate panels focusing on Finance, Energy and Industry. Through this Forum, the Foreign Investors Association aimed at further strengthening of the dialogue and collaboration with the Government for a better investment climate in Albania.

On October 28th, 2013 FIAA organized a Networking Reception at the Honor of the New Prime Minister of Albania Mr. Edi Rama.

Among the high official Guests present were: the Minister of Economy, Trade and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Arben Ahmetaj and the Head of EU Delegation in Albania Mr. Ettore Sequi as well as other Ambassadors and Diplomats in Albania.

On April 10th, 2013 at Sheraton Hotel Tirana, at the presence of government representatives/authorities, international organizations, main representatives of political parties in Albania, FIAA presented the latest publication named “White Book Albania 2013”. 

At this event were also addressed remarks by FIAA Collaborators, Mr. Ettore SEQUI, Ms. Eneida GURIA and Mr. Fabio SERRI. 

On February 26th, 2013 at Sheraton Tirana was held the FIAA General Assembly Meeting. The meeting was called for the elections of the six members in the Board of Directors and among them the New PRESIDENT as approved in the 2012 FIAA’s Bylaws.

At the opening of the meeting FIAA’s Executive Director Ms. Marinela Jazoj presented FIAA’s achievements, activities, challenges and main issues encountered during 2012. Highlighting the FIAA mission to “support the success of its members by promoting a healthy business environment in the country, and providing high-quality business information and resources” she introduced a plan of the future projects and targets for the year ahead.

Patrick Pascal, President of FIAA was one of the main speakers in the Opening of CEFTA Week in Tirana, November 7th-8th, 2012.

CEFTA, the Central European Free Trade Agreement was created in 2006 and started implementation in Albania in July 2007 and ever since it is successfully implemented among all the countries in the region.

FIAA’s End of the Year Dinner was hold on December 19th, at Piazza Restaurant in Tirana. The evening’s main purpose was collecting presents and toys for the orphans.

The Dinner was totally of a social nature and this time left aside the Business talks. A musical band accompanied the Evening by creating a warm atmosphere.
