FIAA’s End of the Year Dinner was hold on December 19th, at Piazza Restaurant in Tirana. The evening’s main purpose was collecting presents and toys for the orphans.
The Dinner was totally of a social nature and this time left aside the Business talks. A musical band accompanied the Evening by creating a warm atmosphere.

On December 17th, 2012 a delegation from the FIAA Board visited the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha. The purpose of the visit was to discuss with the Prime Minister the recent situation of the Economy and the Albanian actual Business Climate.
Among issues discussed during the Meeting were: obstacles faced by Investors in the Mining, Oil and Gas Industry in particular, the “Royalty Tax Increase” asking for the review of the actual Decision according to the international practices in order to support the Mining and Oil & Gas Industry in the country. Another Issue was the Energy Industry recent developments. Given this occasion, the FIAA Delegation informed the Prime Minister on the creation of its New Energy Committee, its objectives and challenges in the near future.

CEFTA, the Central European Free Trade Agreement was created in 2006 and started implementation in Albania in July 2007 and ever since it is successfully implemented among all the countries in the region. Every year the CEFTA Committee organizes conferences in the member countries, and this time it was in Tirana.

On October 9th, 2012 FIAA through its representatives of the energy industry in Albania organized the first discussion and brainstorming meeting in order to identify the main concerning issues faced by this industry. This meeting objective was to bringing together the Energy Stakeholders and find the pathway to proper solutions.
The meeting had a wide participation of companies operating in energy sector and financial Institutions Representatives such as EBRD in Tirana, as well as Energy consultants. EBRD in Albania has been actively involved and supportive on energy projects in the country and has always been a valuable collaborator of FIAA to addressing issues faced by business community to the respective authorities. On 28 of February, 2012 at Sheraton Tirana was held the FIAA Assembly Meeting. The meeting was called for the fulfillment of the two vacancies raised in the Board of Directors and the approval of some proposed changes in the Association’s Bylaws.
At the opening of the meeting FIAA’s Executive Director Ms. Jazoj presented FIAA’s achievements and activities for year 2011 and future projects and targets ahead. Proceeding, members discussed on some articles of the bylaws.
On 19 January 2012 at Sheraton Tirana was organized the traditional FIAA’s Wishes Ceremony, which was a success and a good opportunity to meet each other and start the new year in a friendly manner.

On 24 November 2011, Sheraton Tirana, FIAA’s members, guests and colleagues celebrated during the Networking event hosted by Societe Generale Albania.
In presence of the majority of its members and collaborators the FIAA’s President Mr. Patrick Pascal greeted the FIAA’s work and cooperation during the last months and expressed his will for further supporting the members’ concerns.
05 October 2011, Sheraton Tirana, FIAA’s members, guests and colleagues celebrated its first Networking after the summer holidays.
The event gathered a significant number of investors in Albania, members and non members of FIAA. The Executive Director of FIAA, Ms. Jazoj greeted the participation and encouraged new businesses to join FIAA.
