Patrick Pascal, President of FIAA was one of the main speakers in the Opening of CEFTA Week in Tirana, November 7th-8th, 2012.

CEFTA, the Central European Free Trade Agreement was created in 2006 and started implementation in Albania in July 2007 and ever since it is successfully implemented among all the countries in the region. Every year the CEFTA Committee organizes conferences in the member countries, and this time it was in Tirana.

The CEFTA Portal (which is a website) has been created as a point of information on the most important trade regulations among the Balkan countries. It provides orientation and information to all businesses that aim to trade with the CEFTA Parties.

Mr. Pascal during his word thanked the organizers and the Albanian Government for inviting FIAA to present the business community in this Conference.which is a website) has been created as a point of information on the most important trade regulations among the Balkan countries. He said that for the Investors it is very important to have clear and rich information about Trading in the Balkan region. Nowadays, the number of businesses importing and exporting within the Balkan countries has increased significantly. Therefore, having practical information on the customs regulations (border), licensing procedures, technical requirements, trade regimes and other regulations of these countries help businesses increase.
As Representative of Foreign Businesses in Albania Mr. Pascal expressed his will to support this initiative and inform the businesses about the CEFTA Developments and Progress.
