The Energy Industry Council
The Energy Industry Council is under the umbrella of the Foreign Investors Association of Albania (FIAA). It brings together key industry stakeholders and member companies operating in the energy sector, including renewable energy, oil and gas, and energy infrastructure. The council serves as a platform for discussing sector-specific issues, promoting investment opportunities, and advocating for a stable and transparent regulatory environment that supports sustainable energy development in Albania.
It also engages in regular dialogue with regulatory authorities, including the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the Energy Regulatory Entity (ERE), to address challenges related to licensing, tariffs, grid access, and market liberalization. The council promotes best practices in energy efficiency, environmental standards thus supporting Albania’s transition to a more modern and secured energy system. Since 2023, the Council has been organizing the annual Albanian Energy Event, a flagship conference that brings together policymakers, businesses, and international stakeholders (albanianenergysummit.al).
