In March 26th FIAA participated in the Investment Council’s meeting and was represented by its new President Mr. Balazs Revesz, who will have a seat in this council for the next two years.
Meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Norway to Albania
FIAA’s Executive Director, Ms. Marinela Jazoj held a business dinner with H.E Mr. Andreas Gaarder, the newly appointed non-resident Ambassador in Albania. During the meeting they discussed on the current business environment in the country and the role of FIAA Business Network on the improvement of the doing business climate towards a European entrepreneurship culture.

FIAA is proud to have completed a very successful second edition of its flagship energy conference, which this year was again organized in collaboration with the Ministry for Energy and Infrastructure and focused on the topic Energy Transition Toward the Green Agenda.
Two hundred participants attended the event which gathered experts from many European countries to discuss on relevant energy issues related to Albania and the Western Balkans in general.

Meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Albania
FIAA’s Deputy President Dr. Constantin von Alvensleben and Executive Director Ms. Marinela Jazoj met with the new Japanese Ambassador in Tirana, Her Excellency Ambassador Kato. At the focus of the discussion was an exchange of views on the current Albanian business climate and challenges ahead.

FIAA Tax Committee members, under the leadership of Mrs. Alba Paparisto, during the monthly meeting of February had in its focus some of the main issues which are hampering the business operations. The committee agreed on collecting a list of top ten issues that need to be addressed at the government to ensure that Albania’s business climate remains attractive for foreign investors. This list will be the basis of FIAA’s negotiations with the government in the tax areas for the upcoming months.

Meeting of FIAA’s Energy Council
FIAA’s Energy Council under the leadership of Constantin von Alvensleben met in February 6th to catch up and discuss on the concerns and challenges still present in the industry.
The members agreed on a work plan and learned on the potential events planned to take place throughout the year.

The Foreign Investors Association of Albania (FIAA) held in January 31st its yearly traditional event, a celebration which gathered the Foreign Business Community in Albania, the highest Diplomatic representatives along with key institutions in the country. The Event was greeted by H.E Mr. Silvio Gonzato, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Albania, Mr. Ervin Mete Minister of Finance of Albania, Mrs. Delina Ibrahimaj, State Minister of Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, who addressed their wishes and shared their messages and actions towards the Business and Economic Climate’ improvement in the Country.
Inauguration of the “Business House”
Following the meeting of the revitalized National Economic Council, the inauguration of the “Business House”, a physical space – one of the cubes at the recently revitalized Pyramid building, took place in presence of Prime Minister Rama.
Initiated by Prime Minister Rama who shared this idea and task with Minister Delina Ibrahimaj, this “Business House” will act as a facilitator for all businesses operating in Albania.
