Foreign Investors of Association Albania officially launched the findings of the Business Environment Survey in Albania. The Survey findings were presented at the presence of the Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr. Ervin Mete and Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate Mrs. Delina Ibrahimaj, along with other distinguished business guests and diplomatic representatives in Albania.

BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT IN ALBANIA SURVEY FINDINGS 2023
Tirana, October 25th, 2023: Today, FIAA presented findings of the Business Environment in Albania Survey 2023 , which was conducted during August – September 2023 within FIAA members and foreign investors network in the country. Main respondents of this Survey were important foreign businesses in Albania in the sectors of information and communication technologies, heavy industries & mining, energy and environment, financial services, trade, logistics, tourism, consulting services, etc.

FIAA’s Tax Committee ongoing actions and comments on the reviewed Draft Law on Income Tax
Following the call of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the FIAA’s Tax Committee members have continued the discussions on the reviewed draft instruction issued for the new law on Income Tax and provided feedback and suggestions to the Ministry and given specific comments on those issues which are considered important for the finalization of the Law.

FIAA’s Chairman Mr. Alessandro D’Oria and Board Member, Mr. Sokol Elmazaj had a discussion meeting with the Minister of Justice in Albania, Mr. Ulsi Manja. Main points of the discussions were focused on the cooperation that both institutions could intensify in the near future. The mission of FIAA is to foster dialogue and cooperation with the government and other institutions for a better investment climate and the Ministry of Justice as the National Coordinator for Anti-Corruption, would be a good starting point to work together, in particular to offer FIAA input to the fight against corruption, necessary reforms and mechanisms.
FIAA’s Executive Director meets Ambassador of Sweden in Albania
FIAA’s Executive Director, Ms. Marinela Jazoj held a courtesy meeting with H.E Mr. Niklas Ström, the newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden in Albania. During the meeting they discussed on the current business environment in the country and the role of FIAA Business Network on the improvement of the doing business climate towards a European entrepreneurship culture.

FIAA in the Israel – Albania Business Forum
Ms. Marinela Jazoj represented Foreign Investors Association of Albania – FIAA in the Israel – Albania Business Forum organized in Tirana on September 7th, 2023.
This Forum convened over fifty commercial companies of both countries with the aim to attract investments and build connections in the fields Albania is focusing to develop on a national level, such as renewable energy, tourism, agriculture and water management, and cybersecurity.

In June 22nd the Chairman of FIAA, Mr. Alessandro D’Oria participated to a official Reception with the Representatives of the EBRD Board of Directors who visited Albania from 21 to 23 June 2023. The purpose of these visits, which take place every three or four years, is to bring the Directors up to date with the progress of transition as well as to allow them to witness the impact of the Bank’s activities on this process and to become better acquainted with the domestic, foreign business and diplomatic communities in these countries.
