The Albanian Investment Corporate and FIAA’s Digital Economy Council organized a presentation meeting with stakeholders of the ICT sector. FIAA facilitated this event in October 30 by inviting its members involved in the ICT sector.
Durana Tech Park will offer a range of financial incentives for companies that choose to establish themselves within the park. The companies and users that are targeted are international technology companies, innovative national companies, technology startups, and university and research centers. Some of the permitted activities include software design, development and maintenance of software systems, software testing, design and development of communication systems and of security systems, development of migration systems, big data systems analysis, consulting for innovation and information security, cloud computing activities and others. The aim is to promote innovation and development in high-tech industries within the park.
The Development Plan of Durana Tech Park, which is foreseen to be located in Xhafzotaj, Durres is soon expected to be sent for approval to the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, and the Council of Ministers. FIAA’s members expressed their interest in the park and also some concerns on the eligibility criteria which exclude the existing companies in the country.
