FIAA participates in the consultation roundtable on the draft law on “Personal Data Protection”

In July 12th, the Ministry of Justice started consultation on the draft law “On personal data protection”. In this meeting, FIAA was represented by Vodafone Albania. As a follow up, FIAA has submitted to the Ministry of Justice a set of comments collected from various industries under FIAA affected by this draft law.

According to the Albanian Minister of Justice, through this legal initiative may be fulfilled one of the obligations arising from the process of EU integration, for the alignment of Albanian legislation with the EU General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data and the Directive on the processing of personal data by law enforcement bodies.
