FIAA’s Digital Council: New Leadership & Vision

On May 28, FIAA’s Digital Council convened for a productive brainstorming session focused on the future of Albania’s digital ecosystem and the role of the Council in supporting innovation, investment, and digital transformation.
Following the completion of the term of the Council’s Chair, Balazs Revesz, members discussed the Council’s future governance structure. Reflecting the collaborative spirit and engagement of its members, the Council agreed to adopt a co-chair leadership model, appointing Evis Karandrea (Assist Digital) and Diego Pisa (TP Group Albania) as Co-Chairs.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Balazs for his leadership and valuable contribution to the Council’s work and warmly welcome Evis and Diego as they bring their experience & commitment to advancing Albania’s digital industry development.
The meeting focused on key industry trends, emerging opportunities, and the challenges business faces during Albania’s ongoing digital transformation journey. While recognizing the limitations of a relatively small domestic enterprise market, Council members reaffirmed their commitment to supporting FIAA members while actively promoting Albania as a destination for international digital and technology companies.
Key priority areas identified for the Council include:
🔹 Promoting the success stories, innovative solutions, and pioneering technology models developed by FIAA member companies, showcasing their contribution to Albania’s digital transformation and increasing their visibility in regional and international markets.
🔹 Aligning digital and industrial development strategies
🔹 Strengthening FIAA’s presence at European digital and technology events
🔹 Expanding networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities
🔹 Supporting Albania’s performance on digitalization indicators, including DESI priorities
🔹 Facilitating access to EU programmes and initiatives for business
🔹 Strengthening collaboration between industry and universities to develop future digital talent
🔹 Supporting venture capital market development and startup growth
🔹 Promoting a cashless economy through fintech innovation and digital financial services
Ahead, the Council will focus on building a proactive strategy, fostering stronger communication with stakeholders, gathering industry feedback, and creating practical solutions that support business growth and digital transformation.
Next initiative is the organization of a Digital Conference, building on the success of 1st edition and further positioning Albania as a growing digital hub in the region.

Together, we look forward to driving meaningful impact.
