The EBRD and the Government of Albania in early 2014 have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on improving the investment climate in Albania, laying out a number of areas for cooperation between the Government and EBRD, in the areas of improving economic governance, combating corruption and tackling informality. The MoU also envisaged the two parties expanding the field of EBRD engagement in a gradual manner, in order to assist the Government with new policy reform priorities.
On this occasion, an EBRD Delegation have visited Albania by the end of February 2016 and discussed with Business Association’s Representatives. Main topic of discussion was focused on the creation of a Business Ombudsman institution in the country and brainstorming among business associations to build a trustable relationship between businesses e authorities.
