FIAA held the General Assembly Elections Meeting on 18 February to elect its new President and appoint five new members to its Board of Directors.
In his opening speech, outgoing FIAA President Patrick Pascal welcomed all FIAA members and expressed his gratitude for their support during his Presidency over the previous four years. He also wished success to the new President and Board of Directors in their efforts to make FIAA an even stronger business association with an even deeper impact on the business environment of the country.

The meeting continued with a presentation of FIAA’s activities in 2014 by Executive Director Marinela Jazoj. The presentation included the association’s 2014 accounts, compiled by auditing company Baker Tilly Albania. Ms Jazoj highlighted once more the mission of FIAA to support the success of its members by promoting a healthy business environment in Albania and providing high-quality business information and resources.  In addition, Ms Jazoj also introduced FIAA members to a plan of future events and activities for the year ahead. These events and activities include the FIAA Forum in May, celebrations in June to mark the 15th anniversary of the association’s foundation, the establishment of new committees, various meetings with government authorities related to the business issues of FIAA members, as well as business breakfast and business roundtable events.

Turning to the elections, nine candidates presented themselves for election to six vacant positions on the board. The candidates were: Periklis Drougkas (Alpha Bank Albania), Adamantios Frantzis (Antea Cement), Maksim Caslli (Deloitte Albania), Aida Nani (Enso Hydro Energji), Bozhidar Todorov (First Investment Bank Albania), Silvio Pedrazzi (Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania), Bora Feri (MPAY), Coskun Dicle (Philip Morris International) and Jean-Alain Jouan (SAFRAN, Aleat Group). The candidates introduced themselves to the assembly and explained their motivations for seeking election to the board.
The assembly of members had the necessary quorum of voting members and the voting process was completed successfully.
The results of the vote led to the nomination of Silvio Pedrazzi, CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania, as new President of FIAA, replacing Patrick Pascal. Following the elections, the FIAA Board of Directors comprises the following seven members:

After announcement of the election results, incoming President Mr Pedrazzi thanked FIAA members for entrusting him the presidency of the association and thanked the outgoing Board of Directors for their commitment and accomplishments. Mr Pedrazzi expressed his will to make FIAA a stronger organisation and pledged to give equal priority to each business sector that FIAA represents.
The evening concluded with a cocktail reception among FIAA members and guests.
