Particip GmbH is carrying out a project on behalf of European Commission’s DG NEAR, with purpose of informing the public in EU member states about the progress that countries who are candidates and potential candidates for EU membership are making in fundamental areas, such as fight against corruption and organized crime, economic development etc. In this course, there have been organized in Albania two study visits for 15 journalists from different EU member states and 20 European Associations.
In both visits, meetings with representatives of the business community in Albania were considered as an excellent opportunity for the participants in order to put the information received from the official sources into a broader perspective. The topic of discussion was mainly focused on the current investment climate issues, the main competitive sectors and potentials for investments in Albania.
During the meetings, the Executive Director of FIAA provided information on issues raised, such as current investment incentives, regulations and laws in place, as well as the potential of labor market and skills.
The meetings helped also to exchanging experiences and build contacts.
