FIAA’s commitment and efforts to improving the doing business environment in Albania, is the main pillar of its work. During the National Conference on Anticorruption, hold in Tirana in June 13th– 15th, FIAA’s President Mr. Alessandro D’Oria, during his word in the session: Business associations’ role in promoting good governance and fighting corruption spoke on behalf of FIAA by sharing experience and insights in fighting corruption. Mr. D’Oria highlighted the importance of the fight against corruption along with further needed reforms and digitalization, as fundamental to improve business environment in the country.
He also recalled an Avant guard tool by FIAA, published in 2016 including #a Set of 8 Recommended Measures that FIAA had addressed at the time to the Government pointing Digitalization of the public services in the country as important anticorruption tools, along with concrete steps as a new approach towards the online transparency and good governance, which are still in line with the conference’s flagship.
Furthermore, the right implementation of the Code of Business Ethics by the businesses, is another tool that could contribute to better business operations and performance, Mr. D’oria said.
FIAA strongly believes, that engaging on open and progressive dialogue by sharing and learning from best practices in the country, it is very fundamental to fighting corruption, strengthening transparency, integrity and accountability by increasing the use of digitalization.
