A working frankly lunch and discussions with Commissioner Varheley was held during his visit in Tirana in April 2022. Distinguished selected business representatives were invited to attend the lunch with the aim of the exchange of views on assessment of the main challenges to business and investments in the country. FIAA was represented in the meeting by its President, Dr. Constantin von Alvensleben. Among the discussed points, were mainly the improvement of the business environment and investment climate by increasing the pace of reforms and government support; increasing skills of young people and adults; the informal economy; funding in research and innovation, and nurturing/incubating the innovative business, links innovative business to academia; access to finance and entrepreneurial know-how and many more.
