On February 26th, 2013 at Sheraton Tirana was held the FIAA General Assembly Meeting. The meeting was called for the elections of the six members in the Board of Directors and among them the New PRESIDENT as approved in the 2012 FIAA’s Bylaws.
At the opening of the meeting FIAA’s Executive Director Ms. Marinela Jazoj presented FIAA’s achievements, activities, challenges and main issues encountered during 2012. Highlighting the FIAA mission to “support the success of its members by promoting a healthy business environment in the country, and providing high-quality business information and resources” she introduced a plan of the future projects and targets for the year ahead.
Following, the ten running candidates shortly introduced their strengths and the motivations for being part of the FIAA’s Board of Directors.
A runoff for three candidates demanded the attention of all present members, who in majority voted a change of the FIAA Structure for the Board of Directors that will be composed of 9 board members in total, including the existing Board Member, Mr. Stefano Borghesi- La Petrolifera Italo-Albanese elected during the FIAA Assembly Meeting in 2012. The organizational structure change will be reflected in the FIAA Bylaws that will further be deposited in the Court accordingly.
